Police Services Aide
Salary of $10.00 an hour

Police Services Aide is a part-time position for those with an interest in a career in law enforcement. The work schedule is approximately 20 hours per week, with a maximum of 1,000 hours per year. This position does NOT have medical/retirement benefits. The Police Services Aide will work in a variety of assignments, gaining valuable knowledge and experience by working closely with police officers and other civilian employees at the department.
Education: Completion of the twelfth grade or the equivalent. It is preferred, but not a requirement, that the Police Services Aide is currently enrolled in school as the position is designed to be an entry level position into law enforcement.
Experience: None required.
Age: At least 18 years of age at the date of application.
Background: Position is subject to a complete background investigation, including a criminal history check and polygraph test. Use of illegal drugs/narcotics within the past year will disqualify an applicant. Sales of illegal drugs will disqualify applicants. An applicant shall have no felony convictions.
Other Requirements: A California Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record are conditions of initial and continued employment.
