POLICE INTERN
Clayton Police Department is currently not accepting applications for the position of Police Intern.
Starting Salary of $10.00 an hour
The Position: Police Intern is a part-time position for college aged students with an interest in a career in law enforcement. The work schedule is approximately 20 hours per week, with a maximum of 1,000 hours per year. The intern will work in a variety of assignments, gaining valuable knowledge and experience by working closely with police officers and other civilian employees at the department.
Recruitment Standards:
Education: Completion of the twelfth grade or the equivalent. Applicants must have applied to and been accepted by a recognized college and must be enrolled in the equivalent of at least 12 semester/quarter units during the calendar year. Maintain a 2.0 GPA or above per semester/quarter.
Experience: None required.
Age: At least 18 years of age at the date of application.
Background: Must meet background investigation standards. Use of illegal drugs/narcotics within the past year will disqualify an applicant. Sales of illegal drugs will disqualify applicants. No felony convictions.
